The British Motor Show is set to welcome one of the most extraordinary automotive creations ever made when the life-size LEGO® Technic™ Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear arrives at Farnborough International this August.

Created by the LEGO Group and Koenigsegg to celebrate the launch of the new LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear Megacar set, the full-scale replica made headlines around the world after becoming the fastest drivable LEGO vehicle ever built, reaching an incredible 111km/h during a record-setting run at the famous Goodwood hill climb.

Now, thanks to The British Motor Show’s growing partnership with the LEGO Group and Smyths Toys Superstores, visitors will have the rare opportunity to get up close to this remarkable engineering masterpiece when it goes on display at the UK’s greatest family motoring event from 21-23 August.

Built using an astonishing 327,906 LEGO® elements and taking more than 9,400 hours to design and construct, the life-size model faithfully recreates Koenigsegg’s groundbreaking hypercar, complete with detailed bodywork, working features and the innovative engineering that has made both brands famous worldwide.

The appearance forms part of an expanded LEGO® and Smyths Toys presence at the show, which already includes the hugely popular Lego Group Live Stage in partnership with Smyths, interactive build challenges, competitions, giveaways and the on-site LEGO® Motor Show Shop that has become a favourite attraction for families and car enthusiasts alike.

Andy Entwistle, CEO of The British Motor Show, said:

“We always look for attractions that make people stop in their tracks, and the life-size LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear certainly does that. It’s an incredible blend of automotive engineering, creativity and imagination that perfectly captures what The British Motor Show is all about.”

“Whether you’re a dedicated car enthusiast, a LEGO® fan, or simply looking for an amazing family day out, seeing this record-breaking creation in person is something you won’t forget. We’re delighted to be working with the LEGO Group and Smyths Toys to bring such a unique attraction to the show.”

The life-size LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear joins an action-packed line-up at The British Motor Show 2026, including hundreds of new and classic cars, celebrity appearances, live arena entertainment, driving experiences, supercars, family attractions and hands-on exhibits.

The British Motor Show is celebrating 25 years of Universal Pictures’ legendary Fast & Furious franchise this August with a special display featuring exclusive replicas of two iconic vehicles from the blockbuster film series.

Fans attending the show will have the chance to get up close to precise, detailed replicas of the famous Dodge Charger from Furious 7 and the stunning gold Lamborghini Gallardo featured in Fast X. The Fast & Furious Saga cars form part of a special tribute to the franchise, which has become one of the most successful and recognisable in cinema history, ever since the first film, The Fast and The Furious – starring Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, Paul Walker as Brian O’Conner, Jordana Brewster as Mia and Michelle Rodriguez as Letty – burst onto screens in summer 2001.

Over the last 25 years, Fast & Furious has captivated audiences worldwide with its adrenaline-fuelled action, unforgettable characters and spectacular car culture, making it a global phenomenon that continues to inspire generations of automotive enthusiasts. Over the course of eleven films that have stoked passion in an ever-expanding audience and have earned more than $7 billion at the worldwide box office, Universal’s record-smashing, homegrown Fast & Furious Saga has become one of the studio’s most-profitable and longest-running franchises. This year, Universal announced that a thrilling new chapter – Fast Forever – will race into cinemas 17 March 2028.

The British Motor Show takes place at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, a location with its own Hollywood credentials. The venue’s onsite Farnborough International Studios was used as a filming location for Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, making it the perfect setting to celebrate 25 years of one of the world’s most successful automotive film franchises. Fans will have the opportunity to see replicas of the iconic vehicles from the movies at the very venue that played a role in bringing The Fast & Furious Saga to life on screen.

The Fast & Furious celebration extends beyond the vehicle display thanks to The British Motor Show’s partnerships with the LEGO Group and Smyths Toys Superstores. Visitors will be able to purchase a range of LEGO® Fast & Furious sets from the on-site LEGO Motor Show Shop, while younger fans and families can head to the LEGO Live Stage in partnership with Smyths Toys to take part in competitions, giveaways and interactive entertainment throughout the event. Together, the partnerships bring the excitement of the blockbuster franchise to life for fans of all ages, both on and off the screen.

Andy Entwistle, CEO of The British Motor Show, said: “Universal’s Fast & Furious films have played a huge part in bringing car culture to mainstream audiences around the world, so we’re delighted to mark the franchise’s 25th anniversary with identical representations of two incredible movie cars. Whether you’re a lifelong fan of the films or simply love amazing cars, these vehicles are guaranteed to be a popular attraction.”

The special anniversary display will be included as part of The British Motor Show, taking place at Farnborough International from 21–23 August 2026, alongside hundreds of new and classic cars, live-action displays, celebrity guests and family entertainment. It’s the UK’s family celebration of motoring.

The British Motor Show is set to be centre stage once again in the global automotive calendar this year, as it hosts the final of the prestigious 2026/27 New Car World Championships.

Taking place at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre between 21-22 August, The British Motor Show will uniquely bring together the future, present and heritage of motoring, offering visitors an unrivalled experience that spans cutting-edge innovation, world-leading new cars and icons who have helped shaped the industry.

As part of the show’s ongoing partnership with the internationally recognised New Car World Championships (owned and operated by the London/Tokyo-based Best Cars of the Year organisation), several contender cars from across the globe will be displayed in The Showroom in Hall 1 at next month’s show where visitors will be able to explore and compare these up-to-the-minute, world-class models – some of which have rarely, if ever been seen, in the UK.

A distinguished, international panel of official judges that includes automotive designers, engineers, automotive industry titans, TV presenters, journalists and motorsport stars (including one or two former Formula 1 drivers) will soon be formally casting their votes for the 26/27 New Car World Champion.

But show attendees will also have the opportunity to influence the outcome through a simple on-site ‘public vote’ process at www.newcarworldchamps.com, where visitors can submit their vote for the car they believe deserves to be crowned overall winner. Participants are invited to select what they consider to be the best all-new car, regardless of retail price, country of manufacture, production volumes or whether it’s petrol, pure-electric, hybrid or diesel-powered.

With previous champions showcasing breakthrough vehicles across EV, value, performance, light commercial vehicle (LCV) and other categories, the annual awards continue to highlight the pace of innovation in the automotive world.

Mike Rutherford, award-winning journalist, founder of The New Car World Championships and Chair of its international judging panel commented: “It’s a natural fit for us to return to The British Motor Show. This is an event that connects directly with real-world car buyers and enthusiasts, which is exactly what The New Car World Championships is all about.

“Consumers being able to see several of the finalists in one place, and help decide the winner, makes this one of the most exciting chapters yet for the Championships.”

Andy Entwistle, CEO of The British Motor Show, added: “This partnership adds an exciting global dimension to the show. We are proudly showcasing several of the very best new cars in the world, some of them surprisingly affordable. It represents a unique opportunity for our visitors to have their say in what vehicle is crowned The New Car World Champ 26/27.”

The British Motor Show takes place at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre from 21-23 August 2026, bringing together the best of automotive culture, performance, and technology under one roof.
